NASCAR at Las Vegas live race updates, results, highlights from South Point 400

It’s time to take a gamble.

The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs enters its Round of 8 on Sunday, and it promises to be a gem of a race, not least because it takes place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 1.5-mile oval has been the site of some gnarly wrecks in years past, including back in 2020. The stakes always seem just a little bit higher under the beaming Vegas sun.

Even non-playoff drivers are getting in the rhythm. Tyler Reddick secured pole position for yet another playoff race, the second time he has done so this postseason. Despite being bounced from the playoffs after the first round, Reddick and his team vowed to push for another checkered flag before the Cup Series circuit ends. They’ll certainly be in good position to do so.

It’s the first race of the Round of 8. And it’s in Sin City. What could be better?
