A frustrated neighbour has decided to take a stand against a mum who regularly demands priority over their nearby lift to use with her seven kids.

The disgruntled person took to Reddit to explain that their neighbour will even go as far as shoving her way into the elevator with her children – who are all under the age of nine – before insisting others take the next one.

The anonymous author of the post wrote: “I was on my way home from work – I take public transit – and she was on the bus with all kids.

“They were screaming and running up and down the aisle; basically making such a scene that the driver asked her to have the kids sit down before they get hurt.

“Sure enough, one of the kids was spinning around one of the poles and bumped her head as we were going over the train tracks near my place and started screaming.”

Following the debacle the public transport, the Reddit poster rushed off the bus at their stop to try and beat the neighbour and her kids to it when arriving at their building lift, with little success.

Unfortunately, the mum-of-seven held the door so they could get in.

“She told me that I would have to get out and wait for the next one,” wrote the author.

“I said “excuse me?” She heavy sighed at me and said “my stroller won’t fit in with you in here. Get out and take the next one.”

Frustrated by the whole saga, the author decided against this and instead refused to get off.

“I would make myself as tiny as I could but I was staying in the elevator. She became irate, pointed at her kids and said do you see what I’m dealing with here? I said I understood that it’s overwhelming but I had worked a long day and I needed to get home,” she wrote.

The mum-of-seven then pulled her kids off the elevator but was not best pleased with her neighbour’s actions.

“A few people were waiting behind her and got in with me. Two began thanking me for standing up to her because she does this all the time,” she wrote.

In response, many people have sided with the person, saying that the mum-of-seven does not own the lifts.

One said: “The way that woman had the audacity to say, do you see why I’m dealing with here, Like bruh, you did this to yourself! This is a Y O U problem!!!”

While another added: “She doesn’t own the elevators and if she isn’t the first one on, then she can either get on or not. She doesn’t get to tell people to get out.”
