Nick Kyrgios and Alex de Minaur will play each other for the first time at the Canadian Open on Thursday (local time). 

Both Australians have found form over the past month with Kyrgios winning the Citi Open and De Minaur triumphing at the Atlanta Open

The duo have previously played together in doubles but have never faced off in singles and notably have very contrasting styles of play.

First set, 6-2: The first set is won comfortably by Kyrgios in under 25 minutes. De Minaur looked out of his depth at times after being broken twice early but did manage to show some fight towards the end. 

First set 5-2: De Minaur starting to assert himself on serve and wins that game to love courtesy of some aggresive net play. 

First set, 5-1: Kyrgios closing in on taking the first set as he holds serve comfortably with another ace. 

First set, 4-1: De Minaur finally gets on the board as he holds serve for the first time. Despite losing the first point, he showed some confidence coming to the net and was rewarded. 

First set, 4-0: While Kyrgios finally dropped a point on serve, he was never troubled and strolls towards taking the first set in under 30 minutes. 

First set, 3-0: De Minaur broken again with Kyrgios dominating this match so far and on that occasion winning the game at 40-15. Only nine minutes have passed here and Kyrgios is wasting no time. 

First set, 2-0: Kyrgios holds serve to love with De Minaur struggling to deal with his fellow Australian’s power and mix of shots. 

First set, 1-0: Kyrgios gets the early break after De Minaur makes an error defending a second break point.
