Pablo Mari’s career
Pablo Mari is a Spanish central defender, who is on-loan at Serie A club Monza from Premier League giants Arsenal.
The 29-year-old came through the academy at Mallorca and played for the first team in 2011-12 before cutting his teeth at lower league Spanish side Gimnastic.
Mari was signed by Manchester City in 2016 and although never playing for his parent club, he was loaned to Girona, NAC Breda and Deportivo La Coruna.
After getting a permanent transfer to Brazil’s Flamengo in 2019, Mari was first signed on-loan by Arsenal in 2020 before the move was made permanent.
He made 12 league appearances before the club loaned him out in January 2022 to Udinese.
Mari returned to Arsenal after that loan but was then shipped out to Monza on another temporary stay for the 2022-23 campaign.
