The Eagles can run the football as well as any team in the NFL. Sunday night, they ran the ball better than they have in 74 years. Philadelphia totaled 363 rushing yards in a 40-33 win over the Packers, trampling Green Bay’s defense from start to finish to secure their 10th win of the season.
The 363 rushing yards marked the 20th-highest single-game total in NFL history and fell 13 yards shy of the Eagles’ franchise record set in 1948. Jalen Hurts ran for more than 100 yards in the first quarter alone and finished with 157 — the fifth-highest total in NFL history by a quarterback in a game.

Despite Hurts’ early dominance, the Packers hung with the Eagles. Green Bay overcame a two-touchdown deficit to take a 14-13 lead late in the first, and the game was tied until the final minute of the first half.
Once the second half arrived, the Packers just couldn’t keep pace. The Eagles’ relentless offense opened up a two-possession lead, and then an oblique injury ended Packers QB Aaron Rodgers’ night early.
While his backup, Jordan Love, made a strong impression in the fourth quarter, giving Green Bay a chance with a 63-yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson, the Packers’ inability to contain the Eagles’ rushing attack was the difference in the end.

The Eagles (10-1) are the first team to 10 wins this season. They maintain a one-game lead over the Vikings for the NFC’s No. 1 seed. The Packers, meanwhile, are inching closer to elimination. At 4-8, they sit three games out of a playoff spot with five games remaining and may not have Rodgers healthy for the foreseeable future.

(All times Eastern)
Final: Eagles 40, Packers 33
11:30 p.m. — Fittingly, it’s Miles Sanders who gets the first down and prevents the Packers from getting a chance. The Eagles can kneel it out. Philadelphia is the first team to 10 wins this season, while Green Bay’s hopes are all but gone at 4-8.
11:29 p.m. — The Eagles recover the onside kick, though the math does show that the Packers actually can get the ball back.
Eagles 40, Packers 33
11:27 p.m. FIELD GOAL — The Packers needed the field goal anyway, so they bring out Mason Crosby on 4th & 4. Their only hope is a successful onside kick.
11:24 p.m. — Love is making a pretty strong impression so far. Eagles on the doorstep of the red zone just beyond the two-minute warning.
11:20 p.m. TWO-MINUTE WARNING — Keisean Nixon tries to give the Packers some hope with a nice return out to midfield. It’ll still take a touchdown and an onside kick to have a chance at overtime.
Eagles 40, Packers 30
11:18 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Elliott drills it from 54 yards out. That’s a massive kick. Eagles are up by two possessions with about two minutes left.
11:17 p.m. — Gainwell can’t pick up the first down on 3rd & 7 this time. Eagles are going for the long field goal on 4th & 2.
11:14 p.m. — Kenneth Gainwell keeps the drive alive with a short run for a first down. The Eagles are feeding three running backs plus Hurts.
11:12 p.m. — With 158 rushing yards, Hurts now has the fifth-most by a quarterback in a single game.
11:11 p.m. — Miles Sanders continues to shred Green Bay’s defense, running through defenders for a first down. The Eagles are hoping they don’t have to face a potential Jordan Love game-tying drive.
Eagles 37, Packers 30
11:06 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Wow! Love finds Watson, who runs down the sideline for a 63-yard touchdown to make it a one-possession game. Is that the duo of the future in Green Bay?
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE 💛

Eagles 37, Packers 23
11:00 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Jake Elliott connects on a short field goal to extend the lead to 14. That at least keeps the game within reach if the Packers can step up with Love under center.
10:58 p.m. — The Eagles are inside the 15-yard line as they continue to try and run the clock.
10:56 p.m. — Jordan Love is ready.

10:51 p.m. — Rodgers’ jersey is off (don’t worry, he still has a shirt on). He’s unofficially done for the night.
10:50 p.m. — Sirianni goes for it on 4th & 2 and converts. The Eagles keep the Packers off the field for some more minutes, which is just as important at this point as scoring.
10:48 p.m. — The Eagles continue to run for first downs. They’re over midfield as they look to extend the lead.
End of third quarter: Eagles 34, Packers 23
10:41 p.m. — The Packers say Rodgers is questionable to return with an oblique injury.
10:40 p.m. — Rodgers is headed to the locker room. Let’s see if this is a temporary stop or a Jordan Love situation. Of course, an Eagles touchdown here could lead the Packers to just play it safe.
Eagles 34, Packers 23
10:39 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Matt LaFleur was all set to go for it on fourth down, but a false start penalty forces his hand. Crosby nails the 29-yard field goal. Still a two-possession game.
10:36 p.m. — Here come the Packers… Green Bay is in the red zone after a short catch-and-run by A.J. Dillon.
10:33 p.m. — The broadcast says Rodgers was receiving medical attention on his ribs on the sideline. That’s a painful combination with the thumb injury. Packers are moving the ball, though.
10:32 p.m. — We know Rodgers is already dealing with the thumb injury, but he seems to be in some kind of extra discomfort now. Something to monitor.
Eagles 34, Packers 20
10:27 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — The Eagles go up by two scores! Hurts finds A.J. Brown for the touchdown to make it a 34-20 game. That’s Hurts’ second touchdown pass of the night.

10:24 p.m. — In the second quarter, DeVonta Smith turned a 3rd & 12 into 4th & 1. Now he turns a 3rd & 12 into a first down. That’s what makes this offense so dangerous. Eagles are on the doorstep.
10:21 p.m. — Another big run for Sanders! He goes for 28 yards to bring the Eagles well into Green Bay territory. Sanders is Philadelphia’s second 100-yard rusher of the night.
10:19 p.m. — The answer to that question is an early “no.” Miles Sanders rips off a 21-yard run to get the Eagles moving.
10:18 p.m. — The Eagles have a chance to make their lead comfortable here. Can the Packers stop the rushing attack? They surrendered 183 yards on the ground in the first half.
10:16 p.m. — A great kickoff return by Keisean Nixon is wasted after Haason Reddick sacks Rodgers. Green Bay is quickly forced to punt.
End of first half: Eagles 27, Packers 20
9:59 p.m. — The Packers will get the ball to open the second half, and it feels like they could really use some quick points if they want to keep up with Philadelphia’s offense.
Eagles 27, Packers 20
9:56 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Why settle for the field goal? Hurts hits Quez Watkins for the 30-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 27-20 lead ahead of halftime. That’s a drive to be proud of if you’re Nick Sirianni.

9:53 p.m. — This time, the quarterback sneak is a success. Hurts pushes forward for the first down plus a few more yards.
9:52 p.m. — Nice play by DeVonta Smith to get near the first down marker, but he’s just short. Sirianni will go for it here with time ticking away on the half.
9:50 p.m. — Now the Packers’ front seven gets in on the fun. Jarran Reed and Preston Smith combine for a sack of Hurts to make it 3rd & 12.
9:49 p.m. — Hurts finds A.J. Brown near midfield for a big gain. Brown is trying to make up for his costly fumble.
9:45 p.m. — The Eagles will have a little over two minutes to re-take the lead. So far, Nick Sirianni’s team has 179 rushing yards and 54 passing yards.
9:43 p.m. — This time the Packers aren’t so lucky. The Eagles swarm Rodgers and sack him for the second time of the drive. Fletcher Cox is credited with the takedown.
9:42 p.m. — Josh Sweat comes through with the Eagles’ first sack of the game. Packers still in decent shape at 2nd & 13.
9:36 p.m. — Justin Hollins sacks Hurts on second down, and the Eagles are forced to punt after an incompletion. That’s the game’s first punt.
Eagles 20, Packers 20
9:31 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Rodgers makes another great throw, this time finding Jones in the end zone for a 23-yard touchdown. Mason Crosby misses the extra point, which means we’re tied. Fitting.

9:28 p.m. FUMBLE — A huge mistake by the Eagles. A.J. Brown is stripped of the ball, and Quay Walker runs it all the way back to the Eagles’ 13-yard line. Tremendous return by Walker. Green Bay can take the lead here.

9:20 p.m. INTERCEPTION — Woah, Reed Blakenship comes out of nowhere to pick off Rodgers. He was shot out of a cannon on that play. Eagles squash a big opportunity for the Packers’ offense.

End of first quarter: Packers 14, Eagles 13
9:08 p.m. — There goes Jalen Hurts! Hurts runs 41 yards and nearly scores the game’s fifth touchdown. He’s over 100 rushing yards in the quarter, and the Eagles are knocking on the door.

9:07 p.m. — Great spin move by A.J. Brown, who gets a first down and much more.
Packers 14, Eagles 13
9:03 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Rodgers’ thumb didn’t look like a problem there. Excellent throw to find Randall Cobb in the end zone and give the Packers an unlikely first quarter lead.

9:03 p.m. — Gardner-Johnson is helped over to the sideline and will be carted into the locker room. That would be a huge loss for the Eagles’ defense.
8:59 p.m. — Green Bay ran the perfect play. Rodgers completes it to Christian Watson to take the Packers down to the 11-yard line, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson is down for the Eagles.
8:58 p.m. — Now the Packers are passing on a long-range field goal in bad weather and going for it on 4th & 5. NFL coaches are aggressive today.
8:54 p.m. — What a mess. The snap never gets into Hurts’ possession and the Eagles come up short. The Packers suddenly have the ball in Philadelphia territory.
8:52 p.m. — Jalen Hurts sneaks it on 3rd & 1, but it doesn’t look like he got there. Eagles are going for it on 4th & Inches…
Eagles 13, Packers 7
8:46 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — How about these running games? A.J. Dillon rumbles his way into the end zone to bring the Packers back within six.
