Today, Sony announced that its next-generation PlayStation VR2 headset and controllers will launch on Feb. 22 next year(Opens in a new window).
Three different products will be available to purchase on that day. The first is the base model PlayStation VR2, which includes the headset, two VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones for $549.99. A second PlayStation VR2 bundle will include all of the above alongside a voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain and will cost $599.99.

The third product to be offered is the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station, which will cost $49.99. It uses a simple click-in design to allow the VR2 Sense controllers to recharge, and it does this without needing to be connected to a PS5 so a USB port isn’t blocked on the console.
Sony is planning to open pre-orders in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg on Nov. 15 through the PlayStation online store (direct.playstation.com(Opens in a new window)).
This will be the only way to pre-order the new headset in these countries and Sony intends to ship them “throughout the week of launch” next year. Other countries will be able to pre-order, too, but through participating retailers.
