Queen Elizabeth II has had many incredible moments on television over the years, including the wholesome moment she saw some cows.
She has always been known for her infectious smile and amazing sense of humour, which is why narrowing down her best moments doesn’t do her justice.
Earlier today, the Queen’s family – including Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince William – rushed to be by her side at Balmoral after Buckingham Palace issued a rare statement announcing that doctors were concerned for her health.
Several hours later, the dreaded news of her death was announced, which saddened the entire world.
The Queen only recently celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in June after 70 years on the throne.
And now, after her passing at 96, we take a look back at some of her best moments on TV (and elsewhere)…

Around ten years ago, the world tuned in to watch Danny Boyle’s Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
One of the highlights of the entertaining evening was the Queen’s surprise appearance in a James Bond spoof, which saw 007 himself heading to Buckingham Palace to collect her for the celebrations.
In the skit, the Monarch was sitting at her writing desk before she greeted him with a simple “Hello Mr Bond”
She got up and the two walked through the palace’s corridors together.
They then took a helicopter ride over to the Olympic Park where ‘The Queen’ did a parachute jump onto the ground below.
A few moments later she walked out into the stadium to take her seat with Prince Philip, to the huge cheers of the thousands of spectators.
Daniel Craig previously discussed her appearance in the skit and said: “She was great – calmer than me. My heart was going ‘dum, dum, dum, keep it together, keep it together’.”

For her Platinum Jubilee, the Queen appeared in a sketch with Paddington Bear, much to the delight of the nation.
Her Majesty welcomed the British-adopted bear to Buckingham Palace for a tea party before Queen + Adam Lambert performed for the nation.
In a hilarious two-and-half-minute sketch, which was kept secret for months by palace aides, viewers saw a computer-generated Paddington being delighted to learn that the Queen shared his love of marmalade sandwiches.
As Her Majesty opened her iconic handbag she revealed her very own ready-made supply of Paddington’s bread and orange preserve staple inside.
As the beloved bear showed the Queen what he hid underneath his hat, The Queen confirmed “So do I,” before prising open her bag and remarking “I keep mine in here.”
Following her death, Paddington Bear’s official Twitter account paid tribute to her.
“Thank you Ma’am, for everything,” the tweet said.

During the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration, she couldn’t hide her joy after seeing a herd of cows being paraded as part of the event.
She seemed uninterested throughout a lot of the celebrations, which was hosted by Ant and Dec, but was delighted when she noticed some Jersey and Red Sussex cows.
With a twinkle in her eye, the Queen turned to her late husband, Prince Phillip, and exclaimed: “cows!” while pointing at them.
Her face returned to normal before she smiled again and conversed with her husband about the wholesome moment.

There was that one time Queen Elizabeth II visited the Game of Thrones set during their visit to Northern Ireland in 2014.
The Paint Hall Studios in the city’s Titanic Quarter was the location of the incredible moment, which unfortunately didn’t see her sit on the throne.
Queen Elizabeth II and her late husband met cast and crew members. She was even gifted a tiny replica of the Iron Throne.
However, she wasn’t allowed to sit on the fictional throne.
“They kept trying to get her to sit down on the [Iron] Throne and we kept getting told the same thing: ‘she’s not allowed to sit on other thrones, fictional or otherwise’,” Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow, said.
Creators of the show, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, said on the Late Night with Seth Myers show: “Apparently the Queen of England is not allowed to sit on a foreign thrones.
“This is an esoteric rule we didn’t know about until that moment.”

Not only did The Queen have a great sense of humour for TV sketches, but she also had a great sense of humour when it came to important dinners and events.
When Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau toasted to her (more than) 60-year reign in 2015, she hit immediately quipped back.
During a gala for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, the Canadian Prime Minister thanked her for her “long and tireless service.”
He even mentioned how he was the 12th Canadian prime minister to be in office during her reign.
When it came to her turn to speak, she said: “Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister of Canada, for making me feel so old.”
