The Buccaneers’ season hit a new low in Week 7, as the flailing Panthers held them to just three points in what turned into a blowout loss for Tampa.

While the Buccaneers’ offensive troubles early in the season could’ve been excused by injuries to key receivers and a few new pieces on the offensive line, it’s become a sustained period of struggles without an end in sight – one rarely experienced by a Tom Brady-led team.

Offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was blatantly honest on Tuesday, telling reporters, “You’re not beating anybody in this league scoring three points, right?”

He’s right, and pressure on Brady and the rest of the offense will only increase if Thursday night’s matchup with the Ravens brings more of the same.

The Ravens have been prone to some ugly collapses this season, losing three double-digit fourth quarter leads in seven games, but they might have exorcised some of their demons in Week 7 when they stopped what could’ve been a game-tying or game-winning Browns drive in its tracks. Now, Baltimore will have to take head out on the road and take care of business against a quarterback known for a few comebacks himself.

Even if these teams don’t exactly pass the eye test, this is a matchup of two division leaders.

The Buccaneers sit tied atop a struggling NFC South at 3-4 with the Falcons and have a chance to pick up a statement win against one of the game’s most dynamic quarterbacks. At 4-3, the Ravens lead the Bengals by only a tiebreaker in the AFC North and are hoping to start creating some separation.

9:17 p.m. — Brady airs it out downfield and nearly hits Evans, but Marlon Humphrey catches up with the pass to break it up. After another Brady incompletion, Tampa is punting. Can the Ravens tie it up before halftime?

9:13 p.m. — The Bucs force a punt and will have just under six minutes to make this a two-possession game. They’ll start deep in their own territory.

9:11 p.m. — The Ravens are moving backwards. After an offensive pass interference penalty, Jackson is forced into an intentional grounding call that leaves Baltimore with a 3rd & 36…

9:10 p.m. — Mark Andrews, already playing through a knee issue, is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. If he can’t return, expect to see an even more run-based offense from Baltimore.

9:07 p.m. — The Ravens’ offense is moving methodically, mostly via the running game. They’re past midfield after a couple short runs by Edwards.

9:04 p.m. — Mark Andrews doesn’t look fully healthy… He heads to the sideline again after a short catch on 2nd & 13.

9:02 p.m. — There’s some life from the Ravens’ offense! Gus Edwards runs for 12 yards to give Baltimore some breathing room deep in their own territory.

8:59 p.m. — Nice play by Geno Stone to break up a pass to Chris Godwin and force a punt. Even nicer punt by Jake Camarda. Ravens will be pinned deep.

8:56 p.m. — Devin Duvernay goes nowhere, the Ravens are forced to punt again, and the Bucs will start out this next drive near their own 46-yard line.

End of first quarter: Buccaneers 10, Ravens 3

8:53 p.m. — Vita Vea sacks Lamar Jackson for a huge 13-yard loss, quickly forcing the Ravens into a 3rd & 23 scenario. The Bucs’ defense is in control through one quarter.

8:49 p.m. — Evans has been open in the end zone multiple times already, but Brady has been overshooting him. Still, the separation Evans is creating is a good sign for Tampa’s offense.

Buccaneers 10, Ravens 3

8:48 p.m. FIELD GOAL — The Ravens blow up a 1st Down play behind the line of scrimmage and force two Brady incompletions in the end zone. Ryan Succop comes on and drills the 31-yard field goal to extend the Buccaneers’ lead.

8:45 p.m. — The Bucs’ blocking has been much improved tonight. After a series of short gains, including a nice catch-and-run by Breshad Perriman, Tampa is back in the red zone.

8:42 p.m. — Right away, Tom Brady finds Mike Evans for a 23-yard gain. This is the Tampa offense we saw most of last season.

8:39 p.m. — The Buccaneers’ defense is playing with some energy tonight. Tampa notches a three-and-out after forcing Lamar Jackson to run all across the field just to keep a 3rd down play alive. Bucs getting the ball back.

Buccaneers 7, Ravens 3

8:33 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Leonard Fournette caps off a terrific drive with a short touchdown run. The Buccaneers’ offense makes a statement after scoring only three points last week.

8:29 p.m. — On 2nd & 1, Brady hits Chris Godwin for a huge 44-yard catch-and-run. The Buccaneers are set up at the Ravens’ 8-yard line.

8:27 p.m. — Yikes. Marlon Humphrey nearly intercepts Tom Brady’s first pass of the game. Leonard Fournette picks Brady up with a 9-yard run on the next snap.

Ravens 3, Buccaneers 0

8:23 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Despite excellent field position after the Bucs’ mistake, the Ravens can’t find the end zone. Justin Tucker drills a 22-yard field goal to give Baltimore the early lead.

8:20 p.m. MUFFED PUNT — After Jackson’s pass to Andrews on 3rd & 9 is broken up, the Ravens punt and two Buccaneers collide! The Ravens recover the muffed punt and are suddenly set up with 1st & Goal.

8:18 p.m. — Well, Mark Andrews looks healthy. Lamar Jackson hits him for a first down and much more on the first snap and looks his way again on the very next play.

8:16 p.m. — The Buccaneers have elected to defer, the Ravens will start with the ball, and we are underway! Devin Duvernay takes the ball out to the 22-yard line.

8:10 p.m. — It’s partly cloudy in Tampa with temperatures hovering around 80. With only slight winds, it doesn’t look like weather conditions will be much of a factor tonight.

7:57 p.m. — Julio Jones is warming up ahead of his return. Could the former all-pro give the Bucs’ struggling offense a jolt?

7:41 p.m. — The pressure on Tom Brady is increasing. If the Buccaneers lose tonight, it would be the first time in Brady’s 23-year career that his team would sit two games under .500.  

7:29 p.m. — Ravens TE Mark Andrews is active and set to play despite a knee injury. After making a limited impact last week against the Browns, Andrews’ effectiveness will be worth watching early on.

7:15 p.m. — The Bucs come into tonight shorthanded, missing key starters on both sides of the ball. WR Julio Jones, who has only played two games this season, is active.
