Florida International University (FIU) has only had four winning seasons since 2004 and only two since they moved from the Sun Belt Conference to Conference USA at the start of the 2013 season.
On Monday, the Golden Panthers generated some buzz on social media after the school received a commitment from Rowdy Beers, who played tight end and defensive line at the high school level. Regardless of the skill Beers may or may not possess, the college football world was abuzz.
