Save $50 on an Epson WorkForce All-in-One Wireless Printer

Whether you’re printing work documents, copying lost-pet fliers, scanning family photos, or still sending faxes, Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-3820 Wireless All-in-One printer gets the job done.

Amazon is selling the entry-level, business-oriented multifunction device for $149.99—$50 off the $199.99 retail cost(Opens in a new window).

Measuring 9.8-by-16.7-by-19.4 inches (HWD) and weighing just under 20 pounds, the WF-3820 requires very little desk space, and can be used almost anywhere in the house or office. Its 2.7-inch color touch screen makes configuring and executing tasks as easy as a few taps.

It comes with an automatic document feeder (ADF) for sending up to 35 pages to the scanner. (It’s worth noting that manual-duplexing means you’ll have to flip a stack of two-sixed papers to scan the reverse.) The 250-sheet paper drawer is easily configured to hold 50 sheets of premium photo paper or 10 #10 envelopes.

Most folks using the WF-3820 for at-home tasks won’t exceed the maximum monthly duty cycle of 26,000 pages; businesses, meanwhile, should be aware of the recommended monthly print and copy volume of 1,300 pages.

Epson’s WorkForce Pro AIOs are designed to meet the needs of business-oriented environments, so they come ready to connect to most networks and devices, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. This model features USB 2.0 for connecting a single computer, Wi-Fi and Ethernet for networking, and Wi-Fi Direct for connecting wirelessly to a mobile device.

The biggest drawback of buying an inexpensive AIO is the cost of ink—about 3.6 cents per page for black and 11.7 cents per page for color—which, if printing at high volume, adds up quickly.

Still, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3820 Wireless All-in-One printer(Opens in a new window) can serve small offices and homes for many years. And it’s now on sale for $149.99 from Amazon.
