Our nation’s longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) passed away yesterday (September 8), leaving a great hole in the fabric of the country she loved and helped to bring into the modern era.
For the vast majority of us, she had been a near constant in all our lives and, as a nation, her milestones and celebration became the whole country’s milestones and celebrations. What are your best memories of the late Queen Elizabeth II?
