Most festive fans would love a gigantic Christmas tree in their home, brimming with baubles and lights, but the reality is that many of us simply don’t have the room. Luckily, you don’t need a huge house to create your very own winter wonderland, as the Christmas tree market has evolved – giving those with small spaces the chance to deck the halls.

Shoppers have been particularly impressed by Argos’ nifty Habitat 6ft pre-lit half Christmas tree, which can be placed flush against the wall in any room, with decorating only required on one side. The tree, which proved to be very popular last Christmas, looks set to impress festive fans yet again this year, with a string of sparkling reviews online.

Commenting on the Argos website, one happy customer wrote: “The tree looks amazing, and it’s extremely useful for small spaces, as it can go against a wall.”

Another approved: “Lots of comments from friends and family on how real it looked and what a great space saver it is! Looking directly at it you’d never know it was a half tree! I bought based on ratings/recommendations and it didn’t disappoint.”

Hailing it as a ‘game-changer’, a third remarked: “It doesn’t get in the way, doesn’t get knocked into every five seconds, and means that the decorations go twice as far. You don’t look at it and think ‘that’s weird, it’s only half a tree’ which was my concern.”

The half-tree costs £55 and takes up just 45cm front-to-back. It also comes ready strung with 120 fairy lights, saving people what can be quite a fiddly festive task.

According to the website description: “The tree slots together easily, and the branches only need a quick tweak and tease to give you a thick and full-looking tree. Then all you’ve got to do is wrap it in tinsel and pop a couple of baubles on it. Decking the halls has never been easier!”
