There’s no European matches this week, so Tuesday’s slate is all about the little guys.

There are two Premier League matches and three La Liga matches in action today, as Atletico Madrid take the field at home among others.

Other leagues have scheduled Cup matches this week, including the DFB-Pokal in Germany, Coppa Italia in Italy, and KNVB-Bekker in the Netherlands.

In the southern hemisphere, Racing Club is on the road as they search for a late move in the Argentine league title fight, while the playoffs continue in Colombia.

Everybody knows that Wolves have been hapless in front of net. Athletic are pushing for a Champions League place, and while defeat to Atletico Madrid pegged them back last time out, they still dominated the match and had better chances, just failed to put the ball into the back of the net, missing two “big chances” while holding 61 percent possession. Road favorites with plus odds — never forget it. Somehow, Racing Club, sitting second in the Argentine league table and eyeing a late pass after Boca’s recent slip, visit 27th-placed Lanus, who figure out new ways to lose every single match. Lanus have challenged good teams recently, but cannot seem to secure results. The plus odds here for Racing, who blanked Colon on the road last time out in dominating fashion, are a gift, and we do not turn down gifts. — Kyle Bonn

Yet another brutally unlucky day for Kyle.

Lecce went toe-to-toe with Fiorentina just as expected, winning the expected goals battle, but missed two “big chances” and coughed up an equalizer just after halftime.

Kyle pegged NYCFC to advance in the MLS Cup Playoffs, but overestimated Inter Miami’s ability to find the back of the net. Instead, the bet was scuppered by a hapless Inter Miami team in what eventually turned out to be Gonzalo Higuain’s final game before retirement.
