The final day of Champions League group stage play is here as the tournament finalizes the knockout stage before a pause for the 2022 World Cup.
Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus are both fighting for their European lives. The former can secure a place in the Champions League knockout stage as they host RB Salzburg. Meanwhile, the latter cannot reach the next stage, and even has work to do to secure a place in the Europa League, hoping to avoid crashing out of Europe entirely.
Real Madrid and Man City are also in action, but both take the field in games meaningless for their side. Chelsea are also confirmed through to the knockout stage, but will host Dinamo Zagreb hoping for revenge for the way group stage play began.

FC Copenhagen vs. Borussia Dortmund best bet, prediction
- Best Bet: Under 2.5 total goals
- Odds: +115 (Caesars)
- Prediction (Win/Draw): Borussia Dortmund
Neither team in this match can advance their position, and while Copenhagen will want to put on one more show for the home fans before bowing out of Europe, there’s little in this match. Dortmund have improved defensively in recent weeks, but injuries have sapped their attack. With nothing to gain from this match but also a lack of depth with which to rest players, this could be a cagey match from start to finish. — Kyle Bonn
Man City vs. Sevilla prediction, best bet
- Best Bet: Under 3.5 total goals
- Odds: -130 (Caesars)
- Prediction (Win/Draw): Man City win
The match is meaningless for both sides, meaning there will be little to push both sides forward. For City, it’s simply about staying healthy, as the hosts are already without Erling Haaland. City have been suspect up front without Haaland, and others could also be rested in this match. For Sevilla, they cannot advance beyond their spot in third, but Jorge Sampaoli has brought some defensive improvement since joining a few weeks ago. This should be a drab affair, and the under 2.5 is even enticing, but sticking with the inflated total is a safe play. — Kyle Bonn
AC Milan vs. RB Salzburg best bet, prediction
- Best Bet: Both teams to score
- Odds: -130 (Caesars)
- Prediction (Win/Draw): Draw
A knockout stage spot is squarely on the line in this game. AC Milan will know that a draw sees them through to the knockout stage, while RB Salzburg require victory to see them through. Milan rested multiple players over the weekend in Serie A play, and it cost them in a 2-1 defeat at Torino. Milan have been suspect at the back, especially in European play, where even a big 4-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb last week saw them get away with a few mistakes. With Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan still out injured and RB Salzburg sure to throw the kitchen sink at the hosts, this could be a fun one to watch. — Kyle Bonn
Yesterday’s picks
An incredible result for Kyle sees Marseille and Tottenham play out exactly as predicted, and to a very profitable end. The +850 odds were a longshot, but the research backed up Marseille’s early first-half push and Tottenham’s second half storm.
Napoli’s 13-match winning streak comes to an end at Anfield thanks to a pair of late Liverpool goals, but the odds were too good there to pass up, and a first-half goal for Napoli negated by VAR could have seen that match end entirely differently had it been allowed to stand. Overall, a very positive day of selections.
