- And it’s not because he needs the money.
Noah Schnapp has been working as a lifeguard over the summer. He says having a normal life keeps him “grounded.” And the job isn’t the only thing that grounds him.
At a young 11, he was thrust into fame after landing the role of Will Byers in Netflix’s Stranger Things. Through the years, his media has only grown.
As of now, he has over 27 million Instagram followers. This wildly popular show is heading into its fifth and final season, beginning taping next year.
At 17, Noah is one of the world’s most recognizable young actors. News headlines feature him often, all thanks to his celebrity status.
This past July, he leaked Doja Cat’s private Instagram DMs, in which she was asking him about Stranger Things’ costar Joseph Quinn. There was a lot of talk about that on the radio and more.
He’s had to respond to other things media related as well.
Noah was mistakenly accused of saying a racist slur while singing in his car, in a video. He also ended up in the middle of queerbaiting discourse more recently, related to his Netflix character.
When Noah was spotted in an Instagram Live hosted by Love Island UK stars Luca Bish and Jacques O’Neill, people saw a different side of him as he unleashed his inner fanboy. Noah commented, “I LOVE U,” after previously admitting his obsession with the British reality show.
He’s one of us though and in 2018, he seemed to “forget who he was” when he joined Millie Bobby Brown’s Instagram Live. He immediately started to complain about his mom.
“Oh my god, Millie. My mom has been texting me and she was like: ‘I’m so done with you, I’ve lost all my patience. I’m taking away your laptop and your phone,’” he vented.
