But that doesn’t mean you can’t save on Apple laptops this weekend. With M2 MacBooks on the market, we’re seeing good pricing on the still-excellent line of PCs powered by Apple’s previous-gen M1 chips, though a few M2s are on sale, too. 13-Inch M1 Apple MacBook Air

This M1-based MacBook Air may have come out in late 2020, but it’s still a really good laptop. It’s light, fast, powerful, and did we mention it’s light? This Air weighs in at less than 3 pounds, among Apple’s thinnest and lightest laptops. And while the 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD aren’t massive compared to other machines (and screen size is a bit tight), the 18-hour battery life helps make up for it. And it’s $200 off.
13.6-Inch M2 Apple MacBook Air 256GB

If you’re looking for a MacBook Air with the latest and greatest processor, the M2 version also upgrades the webcam to 1080p so you look super-sharp on all your Zoom calls. The RAM and SSD are still at the baseline at 8GB and 256GB respectively, but you’ll see a nice performance boost over the M1 version.

When Apple introduced its new M2 Air and Pro models, the 13-inch Pro version had plenty of people scratching their heads. It’s the only model that retains the company’s divisive Touch Bar, so if you’re a fan, you should grab this machine while it’s still available. The battery life is a bit better here compared with the Air, and the active cooling means your performance won’t be throttled with intense operations like video editing or coding.

14-Inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro 512GB SSD

The M1-based 14-inch Pro and its slightly bigger 16-inch sibling are still processing powerhouses that are decent values for what you get. This 14-inch version is built around the M1 CPU; combine that with a Liquid Retina screen, a higher baseline for RAM and storage (16GB and 512GB, respectively), active cooling, and more ports including HDMI and an SD card slot, and you’re getting a lot, especially when it’s on sale for hundreds off the regular retail price.
Does Mac do Black Friday deals?
Absolutely—in fact Apple has an entire webpage(Opens in a new window) dedicated to its Black Friday and Cyber Monday plans. However, all of these deals are really gift card bundles rather than actual product price cuts. For instance, you can get up to a $250 Apple Gift Card when you buy a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, or iMac computer. You will have to look at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Target for true deals that save you money off Apple’s list prices.
Is it better to buy a MacBook on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Retailers of Apple products typically run the same discounts on MacBooks from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. So, this question comes down to whether product stock holds on deals posted on Black Friday through the weekend. We have also seen deals that dry up on Black Friday somehow get revived on Cyber Monday as stock is worked through (or applied to different models), so look out for that as well.
Does Apple have discounts on Cyber Monday?
As said before, Apple doesn’t run actual discounts on its own online store, but rather bundles high-value gift cards with purchases. That doesn’t change on Cyber Monday, so again you’ll have to rely on deals posted through partner retailers, like Amazon, Best Buy, and Target for actual discounts off of list prices. Also, look out for expired Black Friday deals that sometimes get revived on Cyber Monday as outlying stock is uncovered or deals move to different configurations.
