While Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale is a few days away, we’re keeping an eye on all of the deals that are starting to emerge, particularly for robot vacuums. These devices don’t get as much of a spotlight as laptop deals or smartphone sales, but households that already have one of these devices know that once you get one, there’s no going back to regular vacuuming.
The Best Pre-Prime Early Access Robot Vacuum Deals
If you haven’t shopped for a robot vacuum before, there are a few things to look out for. The main factor is, of course, price. More expensive machines will add extras like self-emptying bins, mop functions, stronger suction, and better brushes. Most important is the onboard navigation, which also tends to get smarter the more you spend. Pricier devices add LiDAR mapping and onboard camera support (some of which can let you view your home through an app when you’re away from the house).
By and large, battery life on all modern robot vacuums will get you at least 90 minutes of operation, and almost all of these devices have a return-to-home function when the battery is running low so it can recharge and then restart where it left off. If you have a consistently messier home thanks to kids or pets, you’ll probably want to find something with a stronger suction rating (measured in Pa). Look for a minimum of 2,000 Pa though some models go up to 3,000 or higher.
If you’re really looking for a set-it-and-forget it device, get the machine with the best mapping and app support available. Many devices will allow you to set no-go zones, areas to receive heavier cleaning and even voice support, meaning you can ask your Google or Alexa device to clean under the table or mop the kitchen floor and your vacuum will get to work. No matter what you’re looking for, here are some of the top devices on sale right now for your pre-Prime Day savings.
Self-Emptying iRobot Roomba j7+ 7550
The more you spend, the smarter your Roomba gets, and upgrading to this model gets you iRobot’s Pet Owner Official Promise (get it?) that it’ll avoid all pet waste or they’ll replace the machine for free. While the 7550 has the same 10x suction power over the 600 series, this version also saves you time on pre-pickup chores, as the detection technology knows how to navigate around cords and other floor obstacles. The app can also set Keep Out Zones if you prefer to handle the cleaning in a particular room yourself.

Anker Eufy RoboVac X8
As Eufy machines go, this model is usually priced higher than most of its other offerings, so saving nearly $200 here is a great reason to grab this one now. Like most similarly priced machines, this has LiDAR mapping technology that will recognize what floor you’ve got it on and allow you to set no-go zones and give you on-demand zone cleaning through Alexa or Google Assistant. The 3-hour runtime and 2000Pa is right for the price, and even though there’s no auto-empty bin included, Eufy says that the twin-turbine construction allows it to pack more dust and debris into its onboard storage, so you’ll have to empty it a bit less than other machines.
Roborock Q5+ 2700Pa With Self-Empty Dock
This Roborock vacuum has even more powerful suction than the one preceding it in our list—plus, it has a base that will empty the robot vacuum for you. The Roborock App enables you to set cleaning schedules down to the very last detail, including adding furniture and flooring types to the map and setting what kind of cleaning power is needed for individual rooms.
You can get great deals, but only if you know where to look and how to compare prices.
