The Best Prime Day Robot Vacuum Deals: Roomba, Eufy, Roborock

Amazon Prime’s Early Access Sale is on right now, and with it comes some major savings on earbuds, smartwatches, laptops, and much more…but we’ve found that Prime Day the very best time to splurge on a new or upgraded robot vacuum.

The Best Prime Early Access Robot Vacuum Deals

The Early Access sale kicks off the Black Friday season early, and buying now means you can save and also avoid retail stores after Thanksgiving. You might not think of a robot vacuum (or other household appliance) as an ideal gift, but when you power up one for the first time and see it whirring across your floor grabbing all the dirt, you’ll be glad you grabbed it.

Robot vacuums have become a lot smarter in the past few years, and prices have dropped considerably too. On some models you’ll find advanced features that once cost hundreds of dollars extra included for a down-to-earth price. And if you’re looking for a super-simple robovac to bounce around the room sweeping up dust every couple of days, they are now downright affordable.

If this is your first time shopping for a robot vacuum, there are a few things to consider before making your purchase. By and large, most robot vacuums have enough suction power (measured in Pascals (Pa)) to get most jobs done, so that’s less of a concern than in previous years. Battery life is less worrisome nowadays too: Most machines can run for at least 90-120 minutes, and nearly all know when to automatically return to their base to recharge.

The main decisions are whether you want to spring for a self-emptying model, and the type of mapping or navigational technology you want. Smarter machines can make internal maps of your floor plan, set up no-go zones, and learn where dirtier spaces are, and clean them more often. They’ll also know that when they’re on carpeting, and to amp up the suction power. And almost all machines have drop sensors so they don’t end up tumbling down the stairs.

One more thing to consider for this sale event: Amazon recently acquired iRobot (the maker of popular, highly rated Roombas) adding it to its roster of home tech alongside the Echo, Fire, and Ring sub-brands. Amazon’s own brands always see the biggest discounts on Prime Day, so if you see a Roomba price that looks like it’s too good, it might just be true!

iRobot Roomba j7+

Self-Emptying iRobot Roomba j7+ 7550

The more you spend, the smarter your Roomba gets, and upgrading to this PCMag Editors’ Choice line gets you iRobot’s Pet Owner Official Promise (POOP!) that it’ll avoid all pet waste or the company will replace it for free. While the 7550 has the same 10x suction as the 600 series, this version also saves you time on pre-pickup chores, as the detection technology knows how to navigate around objects like cables and other floor obstacles. The app also lets you set up Keep Out Zones if you prefer to handle the cleaning of a particular room yourself.

iRobot Roomba i4+

iRobot Roomba i4+ 4552 Robot Vacuum

This Roomba is a bit more affordable and it’s still pretty smart. If you don’t have pet waste to worry about, the i4 is the robot vacuum for you. It’s self emptying, navigates via smart mapping, cleans room-by-room in neat lines, and will make your life easier. Did I mention it’s self emptying? Set a schedule and forget about this device for up to 60 days.

Eufy X8

Anker Eufy RoboVac X8

As Eufy machines go, this model is usually priced higher than most of its other offerings, so saving nearly $200 here is a great reason to grab this one now. Like most similarly priced machines, it has LiDAR mapping technology that will recognize what type of floor you’ve got it on and allow you to set no-go zones and give you on-demand zone cleaning through Alexa or Google Assistant. The 3-hour runtime and 2000Pa is right for the price, and even though there’s no auto-empty bin included, Eufy says that the twin-turbine construction allows it to pack more dust and debris into its onboard storage, so you’ll have to empty it a bit less than other machines.

Roborock Q5+

Roborock Q5+ 2700Pa With Self-Empty Dock

This Roborock vacuum has even more powerful suction than the model above—plus, it has a base that will empty the robot vacuum for you. The Roborock App lets you to set cleaning schedules down to the very last detail, including adding furniture and flooring types to the map and setting what kind of cleaning power is needed for individual rooms.
