Gamescom 2022 is currently underway in Cologne, Germany. The show has been a staple of the video game industry since 2009 and has showcased some of the most influential games of all time. With E3 in flux, Gamescom is the show to watch to learn more about the hottest releases of the year. Here are the trailers we’re most excited about.
Dune Awakening
Based on the award-winning book series by Frank Herbert, Dune Awakening in an open-world survival MMO set on the harsh world of Arrakis. You’ll need to survive extreme heat, dehydration and massive Sandworms as you work your way to world domination. Hogwarts Legacy
Fans of the Harry Potter series will be happy to see Hogwarts Legacy, which acts as a prequel to the original book series, and places you in the shoes of a young wizard entering Hogwarts as a late arrival. We knew the game was coming for a while but we were left in the dark about the plot details until now. This newest trailer also gives us a look at the pre-order bonuses. New Tales From the Borderlands
Arguably as popular as the main Borderlands series of FPS games, the narrative-focused Tales From the Borderlands series is coming back from the dead. The last episode of the series ended on a cliffhanger in 2018 and this new title aims to continue the story when New Tales From the Borderlands drops on all major platforms in October 2022.
Friends Vs Friends
Friends Vs Friends joins the ever-expanding library of competitive arena shooters. This game aims to differentiate itself from the competition with a card-based power system that makes it a Fortnite meets Yu-Gi-Oh! kind of experience.
