These Are The Strangest Doritos Flavors That Exist

  • Hands down the strangest Doritos flavor is the Late Night All-Nighter Cheeseburger.

The strangest Doritos Flavors can be found in Japan. And of course, there’s always Amazon.

Smoked Bacon

What more could you want in one of the strangest Doritos flavors than breakfast? With this flavor, that’s what you’re going to get, especially if you’re a bacon lover. The taste is really smoky and has a good bacon flavor, too. Some say that they have a bit of char as an aftertaste, but then again, they are called “smoky.”

Doritos Gourmet Fried Chicken and Green Onion Sauce

These Doritos have a light, Cool Ranch-like color and more of a wedge shape. The taste is that of an Asian chicken dish with an onion-y sauce. People like this flavor and only want more of it on the chips, if anything.

Doritos Clam Chowder

Some think this is a flavor nightmare while others see it as the ultimate mashup but people say the clam chowder chips are delicious. The flavor is surprisingly authentic and if asked, you could probably identify the flavor as clam chowder. These Doritos, as many Japanese versions go, are a bit denser than their U.S. made counterparts. They also have rounded edges, more of a “heavy fry” and a savory powder.

Doritos Black Garlic

These chips were released before Halloween and are a dark black chip as an ode to the holiday. These chips have a heavy pepper flavor from the start and the garlic comes out as an aftertaste. The more you eat, the more garlicky they are. They have a salty and sweet flavor to them as well. Would you try one of the strangest Doritos flavors, such as this one?

404 (Caribbean Citrus Jerk)

This flavor was released as a Doritos Jacked Test Flavor along with a variety of other bags to taste as a mystery to the customers. The 404 version turned out to be this Caribbean Citrus Jerk and it’s not only spicy but delicious.

Late Night All-Nighter Cheeseburger

With the tanginess of ketchup and mustard, that fresh off the grill burger char and the sharpness of cheddar, these Doritos taste like a burger. Oh, and to top it off, they also have that dill vinegar from the pickles. They’re delicious and people say they can sit and eat a whole bag. The Doritos are less orange and more yellow in color, with a pinch of dark seasoning added as well.

Doritos Almond Cheese

These Doritos are more yellow in color with rounded edges. You get the almond flavor first and then a zesty cheese Doritos flavor. The taste is rich but subtle and more gourmet in flavor.

Doritos Bits Zero’s Texas Paprika

These Doritos aren’t like the original at all but instead small rings that are more Fritos than Doritos. These crispy, crunchy snacks have a generous amount of paprika seasoning. These are one of the strangest Doritos flavors, both in taste and shape.

Doritos Collisions Chicken Sizzler Zesty Salsa

Two different Doritos with slightly different colors and very different tastes. The chicken chip does taste like chicken and even gives off a grilled taste. The salsa one has a salsa taste but it’s not a strong one. As for the “sizzler” and “zesty” in their name, these chips don’t really live up to it, according to reviewers. Eating one of each is a good duo though, you’ll taste a somewhat zesty tomato chicken.
