Tired of adjusting your PC monitor all the time? An upcoming display from LG tries to solve this by getting the monitor to move for you.
On Friday, LG introduced(Opens in a new window) the UltraFine Display Ergo AI, which is designed to automatically adjust itself for the best ergonomic viewing experience throughout the day.
“With a built-in camera leveraging advanced AI, the UltraFine Display Ergo AI can continuously analyze the user’s posture—making subtle changes to screen height (0 to 160mm) and tilt (-20º to +20º) automatically to help promote good posture,” the company said.
LG hasn’t provided details on how the monitor moves itself. But photos suggest it operates with the help of a robotic-powered stand. The monitor can also swivel up to 270 degrees, but this has to be done manually.

LG says the product has “three ergonomics-enhancing modes: AI Motion, Continuous Motion and Periodic Motion.” The AI Motion mode is designed to “track the user’s eye-level and adjusts height and tilt whenever a change is detected.”
In terms of specs, the 31.5-inch monitor uses an IPS screen with a 3,840-by-2,160-pixel resolution. The display also has a 60Hz refresh rate, a 5-millisecond response time, supports HDR10 colors, and comes with two built-in speakers.
LG plans on showing off the UltraFine Display Ergo AI at the IFA show in Berlin next week. The product will be displayed alongside a new 45-inch OLED PC monitor with a curved screen.
