Super Mario: Odyssey (for Nintendo Switch)
Odyssey’s premise is the same as most Super Mario games: Princess Peach has been abducted by Bowser with the intention of marriage, so Mario, of course, must save her. Still, the game earned a PCMag Editors’ Choice stamp of approval for its impressive visuals, revolutionary mechanics, and fast-paced fun. This sandbox-style 3D Mario adventure is packed with secrets and surprises, not to mention new moves like cap throwing, cap jumping, and capturing. To turn it into a two-player game, simply hand a Joy-Con controller to a friend; one person plays as Mario, while the other controls new ally Cappy.
