Motive Studio and EA have released the first 18 minutes of the Dead Space remake for us to enjoy.
Survival horror fans have The Callisto Protocol to keep them occupied over the holidays, but EA has been teasing the Dead Space remake recently and released a trailer full of stunning visuals back in October. Now we can see the gameplay in action, recorded at 4K resolution running at 60fps on PC.
This updated version of the game will retain the same plot as the original, but uses EA’s Frostbite 4.0 game engine (also used for Battlefield 2042) to take full advantage of modern gaming hardware. EA promises this will be a “deeper and more immersive experience,” and this gameplay footage certainly proves that.

We can look forward to content removed from the original game due to technical constraints being included in this version, and there will also be no loading screens, assuming you have a nice, fast SSD in your PC. Dead Space is due for release on Jan. 27 next year. Alongside a Windows version, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S owners will also be able to enjoy the game.
