Web3 meets gaming — Gaming Demo Day with Cointelegraph Accelerator, Animoca Brands, Tencent Cloud, ConsenSys, Cipholio and Brinc

The gaming industry is gravitating toward Web3 thanks to the promise of a fairer and more player-centric gaming experience, with gamers making up nearly half of all blockchain activity in early 2023.

The first quarter of 2023 brought in $739 million in investments for the blockchain gaming industry, marking a 12.95% growth, according to DappRadar. Gaming activity across blockchains clocked at 790,000 daily unique active wallets during the same period, signifying the importance of the gaming subsector for the overall blockchain economy while paving the way for the development of high-quality Web3 games.

To explore the potential of blockchain gaming, Cointelegraph has partnered with Tencent Cloud, Cipholio, Brinc, Animoca Brands and ConsenSys to hold the Gaming Demo Day as a way to present up-and-coming Web3 gaming startups with high-potential projects to a global audience. The event will take place on July 26 at 1:30 pm UTC. After presenting their games to the leading backers in the industry, one of the teams will get a $50,000 cloud credit from Tencent Cloud, with other four participants receiving $10,000 worth of cloud credit each.
