Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest picker for Week 11 on ESPN

“College GameDay” is heading back to Austin, Texas, for a Big 12 game with massive College Football Playoff implications — at least, for the visiting team.

No. 4 TCU is the last remaining undefeated team in the Big 12, and one of only four such teams left in the FBS as of Week 11 (the other three being Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan). If the Horned Frogs want to make the Playoff for the first time in 2022, they’ll have to ensure an undefeated season. That starts this week against No. 18 Texas.

Horned Frogs quarterback Max Duggan (2,407 passing yards, 24 touchdowns to two interceptions) will lead the charge against Texas on Saturday. He might not be the biggest name on the field, but his play this season has been central to TCU’s success. How he competes against counterpart Quinn Ewers will have a huge say in how the game plays.

With that, The Sporting News has everything you need to know about the “College GameDay” visit to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday:

Where is ‘College GameDay’ location for Week 11?

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Time: 9 a.m. ET
  • Matchup: No. 4 TCU at No. 18 Texas

Texas will make its 20th appearance on “GameDay” on Saturday, and second of the year. The Longhorns are 10-9 in their previous matchups and 0-1 in 2022 (having lost 20-19 to Alabama in Week 2). They are also 5-4 as the hosting team.

TCU will make its ninth “GameDay” appearance, earning an impressive 7-1 record in its previous times on the show; the Horned Frogs’ only loss was in 2018 against No. 4 Ohio State. TCU is 4-0 in road games.

Neither team has faced the other on “GameDay.” Texas holds a commanding series lead against the Horned Frogs, going 60-27-1 all-time against the in-state program. That includes a 3-1 record when both teams are ranked. That said, the Longhorns are 3-7 in their last 10 meetings with TCU.
