“College GameDay” is featuring its first all-conference game of the season in Week 4 and, surprise, it’s in the SEC.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Lee Corso and the gang are heading to Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., for the ranked SEC East divisional matchup between No. 11 Tennessee and No. 20 Florida.
Tennessee is off to its best start in years under second-year coach Josh Huepel, starting 3-0 for the first time since 2016 — coincidentally, the last time the Volunteers beat Florida, who are enjoying a five-game win streak in this rivalry.
Florida, meanwhile, is looking to rebound from a disappointing two-week stretch that saw the Gators lose to Kentucky and suffer through a 31-28 victory over South Florida. That, of course, followed a Week 1 upset over No. 7 Utah in The Swamp.

Where is ‘College GameDay’ location for Week 4?
- Location: Knoxville, Tenn.
- Time: 9 a.m. ET
- Matchup: No. 20 Florida at No. 11 Tennessee
Tennessee is making its 22nd all-time “GameDay” appearance on Saturday. It’s the team’s first time on the show since Oct. 8, 2016 (a 45-38 double overtime loss to Texas A&M) and first time hosting since Sept. 24, 2016 (a 38-28 win over Florida, also the last time these teams met on “GameDay”).
The Volunteers are 10-11 in their previous 21 meetings. That includes a 3-6 record as the hosting team; a 2-6 record vs. Florida; and a 1-4 home record vs. the Gators.
Florida will make its 42nd all-time appearance on the show, good for third-most behind only Ohio State (54) and Alabama (53). Their most recent appearance on the show was Oct. 12, 2019, in a 42-28 loss to No. 5 LSU. Their last meeting vs. Tennessee was Sept. 24, 2016.
The Gators are 26-15 in their prior 41 appearances, including 9-7 on the road; 6-2 vs. Tennessee; and 4-1 on the road vs. the Volunteers.
This will be the ninth all-time meeting between Tennessee and Florida on “GameDay,” which after Saturday will match Alabama-Georgia as the third-most-featured matchup in the show’s history (behind Ohio State-Penn State and Alabama-LSU, both at 11 apiece).
