Now, McBroom will fight AnEsonGib in a grudge match.
Why is Austin McBroom fighting AnEsonGib?
AnEsonGib competed on the undercard of McBroom’s YouTubers vs. TikTokers boxing event against Taylor Holder. The result, a majority draw, was deemed controversial. AnEsonGib said he was “robbed.” The draw was later overturned and AnEsonGib was awarded a unanimous decision win.
AnEsonGib believes that McBroom and Social Gloves were why the fight against Holder was a draw. Now that he holds a personal grudge, AnEsonGib is looking for a measure of revenge. McBroom scoffed at the idea of AnEsonGib seeking “revenge,” telling Dexerto that July 30 (the initial fight date between the two) will result in an easy win for him.
“He’s funny, ’cause he’s been mentioning, ‘I’m gonna beat up the CEO of Social Gloves,’ and so on and so forth,” McBroom said. “He’s just using that as a Band-Aid because of what’s going to happen on July 30. He’s using that as an excuse for when I beat him. He’s going to say, ‘Oh, that’s his event, he should have beat me.’ That’s weak. That’s very weak-minded for him to go that route. But that’s the excuse he’s using and it’s going to bite him in the a—.”
The event on July 30 was postponed due to medical issues surrounding AnEsonGib and was later rebooked for September 10.
