The legend of Jose Ramirez’s jewelry is a robust one. The Guardians superstar third baseman is already one of the most beloved athletes in Cleveland, having signed a seven-year, $141 million contract to remain in Ohio, well under market for a player with his stats at his age. But beyond his undeniable talent, Ramirez is just known to be ridiculously cool.
The RBI machine’s talent is above reproach. He batted .331 with runners in scoring position and was second in MLB with 126 RBIs, five behind Pete Alonso and Aaron Judge. He was .280/.355/.514 on the year with 29 home runs.
He also has a chain of himself with a chain, which is obviously more important than any number listed above.
With the Guardians playing in the postseason, the MLB world is discovering the understated star’s choice in jewelry, and it is extremely popular. The Guardians don’t get the most coverage, but Ramirez makes it count. This has been a thing since August last year.

In July, the Guardians did a fun promotion around Ramírez’s bling. In collaboration with an Avon, Ohio jeweler, they gave away a gold Ramirez necklace worth over $3,300 while giving plastic replicas to all of Progressive Field. The necklace featured, what else, a photo of Ramirez on the front.
In June, the third baseman’s self-facing repertoire expanded when he wore a shirt of himself wearing a shirt of himself (you read that right).

And, just to button up the self-love, Ramirez likes every single Instagram post he posts himself, making him the only person to do that and not come off sad.
If you ever get sad, just remember that José Ramírez likes every single Instagram photo that HE posts.

This can go on and on, but it all circles back to the chain, the purest form of self love. Ramirez has certainly earned the confidence, and he struts it every day on the diamond.
