A woman has delighted the internet after sharing her life-changing tip for serving up gravy – in a fountain. Similar to a chocolate fountain, the idea involves enjoying a stream of rich liquid you can dip your food under. But instead of opting for chocolate, as you might expect, gravy runs through the fountain.
People were left amazed by the idea after foodie Em Sheldon took to TikTok to show off her own Bisto gravy fountain. Posting as @ emshelx, the popular creator filmed herself enjoying Yorkshire puddings dunked in the gravy – and garnered over 700,000 views with the mouth-watering result.
Unfortunately for fans, the fountain featured in her clip as part on an advert – and it is not for sale. But that did not stop gravy lovers from taking inspiration from the idea , with many desperate to get their hands on their own fountain.
One adoring fan replied: “A GRAVY FOUNTAIN. Life changed.”
A second said: “I need a gravy fountain,” while another wrote: “Gravy fountain > choco where can I buy.”
Meanwhile, a different commenter joked: “It’s not a want, it’s a need.”
Someone else added: “A gravy fountain is stuff of dreams.”
Elsewhere, people were also impressed by Em’s gravy of choice, as she tested Bisto’s Pigs in Blankets gravy. “I think I’ve found the most insane Christmas food yet,” she praised.
“Dunk your Yorkshire puddings in it. Pour it over your dinner. Or use a gravy fountain to impress at your next dinner party,” the foodie recommended.
If you do opt to impress your guests with a gravy display, it will likely go down a treat. A recent poll commissioned by Schwartz found that one in ten Brits love the brown sauce so much they claim to put it on “everything”.
From pasta, to rice and burgers, people pair the staple with all sorts. Of the 2000 adults questioned, 11 per cent revealed they even drink it from a flask, with 13 per cent of participants enjoying gravy in the car.
If you’re planning on trying the serving hack yourself, Bisto warns that its gravy must be consumed within an hour once the granules have been added to boiling water and poured into the fountain.
