Woman gets jilted twice then blocked by ‘catfish’ – and things only get worse

Ash Holme detailed her concerning yet hilarious ordeal after she was ‘catfished’ by a man claiming to be a Marine – then things got worse when he saw her story online

We’ve all seen hilarious dating stories make their rounds across the internet – especially from those who meet one another online or over dating apps. A woman’s latest story has skyrocketed to the top of all existing stories to date – as her “tragic catfish saga” only gets worse.

TikToker Ash Holme admits you “can’t write this” as she begins to reveal her jaw-dropping story. She explained: “Guys, this is not a drill, I have lost the plot – I’ve definitely been catfished! My heart’s going pitter-patter, I’m fuming but also find this so f***** funny!

“I’ve been intensely speaking to this boy for like three weeks – he’s a Marine Engineer apparently and works abroad hence why we haven’t met yet.

“Everything seemed to match up – he would say he was in a certain country and then post a story in that country, so it all made sense, right?!”

When the man finally stepped foot onto UK soil, Ash took the brave step into getting the pair to meet – but when the day came, he “dropped off the face of the earth”.

In a bid to apologise, he didn’t reach out until the next day to spill excuses onto the TikToker – but his apology was soon accepted.

Ash explained: “He was very apologetic, asking to drawer a line under it, and saying he really wanted to see me.

“And this is where I need cold hard therapy because I said, ‘Yeah, if you wanna see me, then you’ll make it happen’.

A while later, the man drops her a message to say he’s coming to London and the pair made plans to have a picnic.

However, things soon started to tumble and as Ash was set to leave, she was gobsmacked after discovering to be blocked again.

She fumed: “I kid you not – 20 minutes go by and I go on the chat – I’m blocked! I AM BLOCKED! I’m blocked off everything! I go on his Instagram and it says user not found!

“As in the only explanation is that I’ve been talking to the Tinder Swindler because what?!

“Now I’m piecing s*** together and nothing is starting to make sense. We voice noted all the time and one time we were on the phone and I said, ‘Oh, why don’t you Facetime me?

“And he said, ‘Oh, I look like s***, I’ve just got in from work – let me shower and then I’ll Facetime you back’. And he never did! I can’t believe at my big age of 26 I’ve been conned.

“We need a worldwide search for this man!” She pleaded.

In the video, which has surpassed a gobsmacking two million views in just 24 hours, Ash outed the man’s profile to her followers as she encouraged them to “do [their] thing”.

Little did she know, but it would soon spiral into a whirlwind of new drama, which she has since documented in an update video – where the events just kept on unfolding.

She said: “So, my tragic catfish saga continues and the plot has thickened ladies and gentleman – you can’t write this!”

“After outing matey boy, I must have had 20-30 comments from different girls saying ‘I spoke to this guy, he done the same thing to me’.”

As Ash watched the comments unfold before her eyes, she was in disbelief when she noticed that the man in question had dropped her a message after discovering the TikTok videos.

The message read: ‘You’re a d******. Catfish [laughing emojis]. “F****** hell Ash get a grip, I just ended up getting waver with my mates and letting you down twice in a week that wasn’t an option, so I just ducked [laughing emoji].

“But making a TikTok about me hahahahahahaha that’s jokes. Take it easy mate [laughing emoji].

“The audacity to unblock me to send me that message to reblock me again before I can reply! The jig is up!” Ash said.

Assuming things couldn’t spiral any worse, a shocking turn of events showed the face behind the real photos reach out to Ash on Instagram, claiming that he’s now “famous on TikTok” – thanks to her.

She continued: “So, this is the real sexy fella who I thought I was speaking to – oh my God!

“So, bless him! Apparently he said that this has been going on for years – every time he reports an account a new one gets made, it’s out of control!

“Obviously it’s a rollercoaster of emotions for me because in my head I’m speaking to bae and his head I’m a stranger.”

“Nev and Max from catfish, where are you? There’s a crook still on the loose!” She joked, struggling not to laugh.
