Woman leaves boyfriend in restaurant after he ‘always forgets his credit card’ to pay

The pair often take the boyfriend’s kids out to eat but one incident recently drove this woman to the brink and forced her to leave him and his kids in the restaurant

A man has faced a huge backlash from his girlfriend as he consistently ‘forgets’ his credit card when they go out to eat, leaving her saddled with the bill. The anonymous woman took to a Reddit post to explain that her boyfriend has two kids and the four of them will often go out to eat together.

However, one annoying thing she has noticed is that he will often forget his credit card, leaving her stuck with the bill. She explained: “We go out once a week and each time he happens to forget his credit card to make a payment.

“I’d obviously end up paying since we had the kids with us. But honestly it left me broke this month and the month before.”

But one incident has been the final nail in the coffin and led her to walking out of the restaurant refusing to pay for his and his kids food whenever they go out.

She said: “I just received my payment for my 2nd job (part time). We agreed to go out together with the kids and I even sent him a text reminding him to not forget his credit card. He laughed it off.

“Before we started eating I mentioned his credit card just to make sure he didn’t forget it.”

However, when he searched his pockets he realised he, in fact, did not bring his credit card as he apparently left them in his other jeans.

The woman explained: “He then looked at me in a sorry way and said guess I forgot it in the other pair of jeans that I thought I was going to wear then asked me to foot the bill “just this time”.

However, his girlfriend was having none of it and decided to take action to make him know how unhappy she was with him.

She said: “The food was on the table but I didn’t even get a bit. I grabbed my stuff and got up.

“He freaked out asking where I was going. I told him I wouldn’t be paying “this time AGAIN” and to enjoy his dinner with the kids. Then I walked out.”

Her boyfriend phoned her later that night and was furious with her for walking out of the restaurant.

“We got into an argument and he’s been mad at me about it since then saying things like how he needs to take a look at how I’m treating the kids specifically and how I was willing to let them go hungry with my selfishness,” she explained.

In response, many have been quick to side with the girlfriend with one noting: “He has been manipulating you weekly for 9 months to pay for dinner for him and his kids.”

While another said: “Please reconsider this relationship. He’s clearly manipulating you.”
