A woman has been left distraught after getting a matching tattoo with her friend only to realise the design they chose kind of looks like “limp d*cks” as opposed to two butterflies

Lots of friends love getting matching tattoos together to celebrate their close bond. For some the design is key, but for others it is about the permanence. Normally, it is some combination of the two – as friends are keen to find a special way to commemorate their relationship.
But one woman has been left mortified after getting a matching design with her best friend, as the ink did not turn out as she expected. Instead of the sweet butterfly she hoped for, the tattoo looked like something much ruder. And the woman was so devastated after seeing her fresh ink that it reduced her to tears.

Posting to TikTok as @lanicole001,Alaina Nicole shared a video of her tattoo and her reaction to the it.
“When you try to get cute matching bestie tattoos and you get two limp d**ks instead!” it was captioned.
The clip shows Alaina crying into her hand before she then reveals the tattoo on her arm. She also pictures the design next to her pal’s, as she got a matching butterfly on her arm.
And it is hard to disagree with the TikToker’s interpretation, as the comments left on the video prove.
People were shocked to see the design, with many struggling to believe the tattoo artist could not have seen the rude resemblance.

One person wrote: “Whoever did this knew. They knew.”
And another said: “The tattoo ‘artist’ knew what they were doing.”
However, people then said the same of Alaina, after she shared a follow-up video demonstrating how she hoped the tattoo would look.
In the clip, two friends can be seen with similar designs placed on their fingers. As such, the two tattoos mirror each other in a way that the woman and her friend’s did not.
“I mean is it me or does it look exactly the same?” asked one confused commenter.
A second agreed: “I mean, that’s what you got.”
Others suggested that it was the different placement that made the woman’s tattoo look different than the one in her inspiration photo.
“They look exactly the same tho,” someone claimed. “It’s just where y’all got it at.”
Another thought: “I think it’s the placement. It should be on fingers not your arm.”
Thankfully, people were in agreement the woman and her friend could “fix” their tattoos.
“What if you each completed the other half then coloured in opposite halves? That could be a potential fix,” read one comment.
Someone else suggested: “Finish the butterfly and colour one side. She does the same and colours the opposite side.”
And Alaina revealed the pair later had their tattoos “covered up”, with another butterfly design they both liked.
