Woman left mortified after £58 manicure fail leaves her with ‘horrible’ nails

The woman was not happy with the nails she was given by her manicurist, with one person even asking her did she get them done in someone’s garage – but she paid nearly £60 for the set

If you go to the nail salon and ask for something simple, you probably hope your nail tech has the skills to pull it off for you – especially if you’re wanting a fresh set for your holiday. One woman was mortified when she asked for a French manicure and was left baffled by what the woman gave her.

Beauty-obsessed Athanasia Koutis aka @athanasiasakoutis took to TikTok, writing on the video: “Me wanting a basic French manicure to feel cute before my holiday”, with two thumbs up emojis. She also showed the reference picture she used to show her nail tech.

The reference photo is timeless and elegant – which makes her nail reveal even more shocking when the photo flicks between how the nails should’ve looked – and how they actually turned out.

The tips were messy, her cuticles looked dry, the acrylic was obvious and not blended into her natural nail properly, and one of them was even slightly stained at the bottom.

Athanasia was not pleased with her nails, and nor were the people in the comments.

One wrote: “These manicure inspiration pics are literally what I take to the salons and they NEVER do it right.”

“Don’t tell me you paid for this!?!!!??!?!????”, another added.

Someone else wrote: “This has to be a joke.”

“Looks like press-on nails gone horribly wrong”, commented one TikToker.

One quipped: “Did you go to somebody’s garage?”

Someone told of the time they got their nails done for their wedding and they looked similar, commenting: “My BRIDAL nails were something like this. I still hate her for that…”

“Even my husband raised his eyebrows in shock”, one woman joked.

“You could’ve done a better job yourself with your non-dominant hand blindfolded”, someone jibed.
