Woman shares two-ingredient hack to clean limescale from kettle with no scrubbing

A woman has gone viral online after posting on Instagram her simple two-ingredient hack to clean the inside of a kettle and needs no scrubbing to get your appliance looking as good as new

There are a number of household chores which are pretty tedious, but can make a big difference to our everyday lives – from putting away laundry, to ensuring your oven is grease-free. One woman has recently shared a brilliant tip for removing limescale from inside your kettle – without any arduous scrubbing.

Self-confessed Home Hacks Queen, Carolina McCauley, from Perth, Western Australia shared her tips on Instagram and has since received a swathe of support for her cleaning tricks. And the best part of the hack is that it only takes two ingredients to get your kettle sparkling again and looking as good as new.

To start, all you need is a kettle, some vinegar and a cup of water inside the kettle combined.

Once the ingredients are in the kettle, let them soak for half an hour so that they can fight off all that limescale.

When it’s done soaking, boil the kettle then pour all of that liquid out and rinse the kettle out and your kettle should be looking as good as new.

And that is it, inside half an hour you can get all that limescale off your kettle with just two simple ingredients.

Many showed their love for the hack when Carolina shared it on social media, with one person writing: “Wonderful tips. Thanks.”

While many others wanted to give the hack a try straight away as one person wrote: “Gotta do this now!!!!!”
