Woman sickened by old owner’s ‘petty’ housewarming gift left in the dishwasher

A woman voiced her outrage online after discovering that the old owners of her property left a ‘disgusting’ gift in the dishwasher to welcome new homeowners to their place

A mum has claimed that the previous owners of her new home have taken “pettiness” to a new extreme after she stumbled across an unexpected surprise left in the dishwasher. Voicing her outrage on the popular video-sharing app TikTok, Bella Messina says the thought of her discovery has left her “dry retching”.

After completing the sale and moving into the new family abode, the mum described her utter shock at the last owner’s parting gift, considering that they had an “easy sale”. She captioned the video’s post: “BRB ill be dry retching at the thought of this for the next ten business days.”

The Tiktoker explained: “This is just a friendly reminder to deep clean everything when you get a new house because guess what fun special surprise the old owners of our new family home left us?

“I opened our dishwasher for the first time and I realised they’d accidentally left a load in the dishwasher – a load of toilet brushes!

“The old owners got all of the toilet scrubbers – the skiddy scrubbers – put them in a dishwasher, done a load, and forgot them!”

Bella was in utter disbelief as she questioned what would “possess someone” to put the item in question together with what you “clean the dishes that you eat off”.

“That is actually f*****!” She exclaimed.

Whilst Bella is aware that there may be “deep cleaning” methods to tackle the nasty find, she is settled on her decision to rid of the item quickly.

She continued: “I need to burn my dishwasher, I don’t care if there’s some deep cleaning that you can do, it’s gone and out of here!”

“I’m not having stranger’s poop particles moving around with my daughter’s dishes – absolutely disgusting and if you have ever done this.

“To hell! To jail!” She added. “That is f***** up!”

“Anyway, clean your house when you get a new house as you never know how other people live!”

“Thank God they forgot those poop scrubbers!”

In the clip, Bella initially thought that the previous owners had forgotten to remove the items from the dishwasher – but later joked that it was a “petty message” even though she couldn’t work out why it would be.

Fellow TikTokers rushed to the comment section to voice their disgust – with some causing a debate over why the items were left there – to which Bella cleared up in the comment section.

She wrote: “It has to be a petty message… but I’m so confused as to what?!

“The only thing is they had to fix a retaining wall for the sale… but there was no fight!”

Adding to the ordeal, Bella described that she was inches away from setting the item “on fire in the backyard”.

“I’m never eating at anyone’s house ever again,” one horrified user wrote.

“Thank god they left them in there, otherwise just imagine,” a second person penned beside a shocked emoji.

A third added: “As an agent I am HORRIFIED.”
