A woman has sparked a huge debate online after being disgusted by her husband’s shower habits. After sharing the controversial subject in a post on Mumsnet, users were torn over whether you should wash your feet and legs in the soapy water.

The woman admitted that she was “shocked” upon the discovery that her husband doesn’t wash the body parts. After taking her concerns online, the woman’s post has raked in responses from over 200 Mumsnet users – who couldn’t agree on the right answer.

Captioning the post, she wrote: “To be shocked husband doesn’t wash his legs and feet in the shower?”

She explained: “Had to use the toilet while my husband was in the shower this morning and noticed that he doesn’t actually wash his legs or feet.

“I asked him about it and he said he never does, he just lets the water and soap run over them and that washes them…

“A) How did I not know this about him?” She asked. “B) Is this normal? Do people do this?”

“I wash every part of my body every day in the shower.”

Seeking advice from users on Mumsnet, she asked: “Am I being unreasonable?”

Unintentionally, however, the simple question sparked a huge debate between people online after it rocketed in views.

One person wrote: “With legs, I agree that the soapy water trickles down that way anyway. I do wash my feet though, in between my toes especially.”

A second agreed: “I use a brush on my legs because I get dry skin on my shins. And always between my toes as they seem to collect all sorts of crud.”

“Feet yes, legs no,” a third said.

On the other hand, a different user wrote: “If after showering that way they don’t smell or have any visible grime then they’re clean. What else is washing for?”

A second claimed: “I have never once washed my legs and feet in the shower. If I shave, they get foam on them, but that’s it.”

“Does he have smelly feet? If not, leave him to it,” a third penned.
