Social media user Megan Curley has detailed her terrifying story, which sounds like something taken directly from a horror film. After stumbling across peculiar discoveries around her home and sharing the aftermath on TikTok, people are convinced that an intruder could be living in her apartment.

The bone-chilling discovery came soon after Megan and her flatmates found that they had a leak in the roof and quickly got up to investigate. However, a set of black dirty hand prints besides two large open windows would cause the housemates to feel uneasy – and that’s only the start of it.

She explained: “I’ve got a bit of a situation right now, and I don’t know how to feel about it.

“Basically, we discovered that we’ve got a leak in our roof.

“When we were taking things out, I noticed that there were black hand marks on our white wall and the windows had been left wide open!”

The clip continued to show the strange hand marks, which Megan had described, and even how both windows were left open on either side.

“Also, I discovered the other day that my letterbox had a little wire poking out of it,” she added.

“What is that?!” She questioned as she showed her 32,000 followers.

Unfortunately, the strange finds around the home don’t end there as Megan described the other chilling details, which led viewers to the discovery that someone is trespassing.

Stuff in her room being changed, LED lights being switched on, and housemates denying the claims – led the TikToker to thoughts she didn’t even want to admit.

She continued: “And I’ll be coming in on my lunch breaks from work and I felt like the steam in my bathroom – but I didn’t shower in there.

“Nothing’s been taken, my MacBook’s still here, my flatmate’s MacBook is still here – all of my stuff is still here.”

After checking her cupboards, Megan stumbled across further peculiar details – from empty crisp packets, the bread used, and even missing eggs in the carton.

She added: “I’m just really baffled and we’re in the top floor flat, we’re not on the ground floor.

“I just can’t understand, we’re on a high street – a busy street – so, I don’t think – surely not! I don’t want to say it.”

TikTokers shared convincing claims that they believed there was an “intruder”, but also encouraged Megan to check her carbon monoxide alarm.

One user wrote: “CO poisoning can cause confusion and memory loss.”

“If you have a loft or attic check it asap!! a lot of people live in them and can be so sneaky,” a second encouraged.

After sharing an update, Megan detailed how the police had now been called, she had given a statement, and that the flat was being checked.

Answering popular questions, she said: “I don’t have an attic, we don’t have anything like that.

“The carbon monoxide I’ll be checking – that I do understand, but given the evidence, I don’t think I’ll be hallucinating and thinking things to everyone.”

To date, Megan is yet to share an update on the scary saga on her profile, but has vowed to keep people up to date.
