There is no better feeling than walking out of the nail salon with a manicure and fresh new nails. However, the happiness can quickly plummet when your nail chips or you want to re-enact the cute polish effect at home, but you don’t have the professional tools to do so.

Whilst we may put our artistic skills to the test – safe to say that we can all admit that it never looks as good as when the professionals do it. Answering these issues with a “brilliant” life hack, a TikToker has shared her game-changing hack on how to get the desired look at home using just a simple hair accessory.

Sharing the clip online, the hack was undeniably life-changing as the viral video has already surpassed a jaw-dropping 6.1 million views to date.

Sarah Abraham uploaded the clip onto her channel – where she documented the hack first-hand, using just her thumb, some nail polish, and a small hair clip.

She wrote: “Show me the life hack that you randomly saw one day and it’s now a subconscious standard practice in your life.”

Rather than popping to the shop and scouring for the expensive equipment that’s used in salons, Sarah simply reached for a tiny hair clip, which was approximately the size of her thumb.

Putting the clip behind her thumb, she used the tight grips to pull back the skin from her nail to reduce excess polish getting onto her skin – and it worked perfectly.

Regardless of your confidence to paint nails, it’s no denying that this hack will help make your manicure look more professional.

In complete disbelief, it was no surprise that the video’s comment section exploded with budding users who were ready to share their shock at the essential tip.
