With the cost of living crisis crippling millions of Brits, it’s safe to say we’re all trying to save money.

Over on the Cost of Living Crisis Tips TikTok page, the user pointed out how you should really be storing your milk.
According to the page, putting it on the shelves attached to your fridge door can cost more money.
In the video, the user said: “Don’t put your milk on the fridge door like this.
“When you open the fridge door, it pulls away from the cool air – affecting the freshness.”
The user advised people to “put the milk at the back of the fridge to make it last longer”.
But the advice didn’t convince everyone on TikTok as one said the door is open for a short period of time.

The person said: “The door is open for like 2 seconds, maybe 10, but it’s shut straight away.”
Meanwhile, the Cost of Living Crisis Tips page replied: “Yes and how many times do you open it a day? It adds up.”
Another person commented: “Lol at my life I’ve been placing it inside the door, NEVER had a problem.”
A third added: “It does actually work. I put ours behind the sprouts and the kids can’t find it so it lasts longer.”
It comes as Brits will receive a cost of living payment of up to £300 to help during the crisis.
Pensioners who already qualify for the Winter Fuel Payment will get an additional £150 to £300.
Payments are expected to start rolling out soon.
