We’re now fully in the swing of the festive season, and for many, that will mean shopping for that all-important Christmas jumper, whether that be for your office party or the big day itself. Of course, with the ongoing cost of living crisis continuing to take a toll this winter, few will want to spend a fortune on a knit they will be popping to the back of their drawer come January.
With this in mind, Essex Live reporter Hope Woolston headed down to her local Primark in Chelmsford, Essex, in search of Christmas jumper bargains. With a variety to choose from, Hope narrowed this down to a list of 10 favourites, with some selling for as little as £7.

1 . Gingerbread cardigan £14
Hope remarked that there were various benefits to going for a cardigan as opposed to a jumper that has to be pulled over your head, adding that this was the ‘perfect’ solution for ‘protecting your hair and make-up’.
She added: “This cardigan is both horrendously ugly and adorable at the same time and I think that’s exactly why I love it so much.”
2. Candycane cardigan £12
Noting that this was more ‘subtle’ than the gingerbread option, Hope says she ‘loved’ this cardigan instantly, and suggested that it would ‘look great with some high-waisted jeans’.

5. Black and white snowflake £14
Hope remarked that this subtle black and white jumper would make a great option for those who ‘prefer a monochrome look rather than the traditional festive colour pallet’.
She continued: “It felt nice and tick and cosy too which is a bonus. There’s also some small pearl detailing which adds a bit of subtle glam.”

6. Sparkly jumper £14
Hailing this as a ‘great choice’ for the festive season, Hope said: “The zigzags, which I think look a bit like a Christmas cracker are made from sequins which make it lovely and sparkly.”

7. Classic Christmas jumper £14
According to Hope: “This jumper screamed classic festive jumper as soon as I saw it. With a red and white colour scheme and all-over pattern featuring reindeer, what more could you ask for?”
