Brazil came into the 2022 World Cup as the pre-tournament betting favorites, but started slow with a pair of sleepy victories over Serbia and Switzerland in the group stage before falling to Cameroon in the finale.
While they maintained their status as the team thought most likely to emerge victorious come the final on December 18, they needed to make a point in the Round of 16 to keep that faith.
That statement was made as the Selecao poured on four goals in the first half against South Korea. With Neymar back from injury, Brazil lit up the scoreboard at Stadium 974 behind their talisman, who struck from the penalty spot, with the other three goals from Vinicius Jr., Richarlison, and Lucas Paqueta.
Brazil were flying through the first 45 minutes, and they celebrated the flurry with a variety of flashy choreographed dance moves on the touchline to punctuate each goal, as even head coach Tite jumped in and joined the fun.

Brazil dancing celebrations after first-half flurry vs South Korea
After a set of slow group-stage performances, the pre-tournament betting favorites came into the Round of 16 match vs South Korea needing to put away concerns of an early exit from the 2022 World Cup.
They did that in emphatic fashion, as Brazil flooded the South Korea net with four first-half goals, their first time netting that many times before the break since 1954.
Each goal had its own unique dance and celebration, which made it a party atmosphere at Stadium 974.

According to FOX broadcaster John Strong on the United States match broadcast, Brazil have 10 different dances planned for goal celebrations at this World Cup, and at this rate, they’ll need to think up new ones going forward.
All thoughts with the Brazil players who will have to think up yet another dance when they go 10-0 up in the 64th minute.

Most goals in a World Cup match by Brazil
Brazil ran riot in the first half against South Korea, but they have a long way to go to set any kind of World Cup record.
The most goals in a World Cup match by one team is 10 scored by Hungary back in 1982 when they thumped El Salvador 10-1, while the most combined goals in a match is 12, set when Austria beat Switzerland 7-5 back in 1954.
Brazil’s record for most goals in a World Cup is within reach, however, as their best is the seven scored against Sweden in 1950 in a 7-1 victory.
