Sometimes it’s the little details can make all the difference in your home, and you don’t need to break the bank in order to give your home a few luxury touches

The hacks are inexpensive but work wonders

We all know that when you go to a hotel, they seem to have some sort of witchcraft that helps them to make the bed and it looks neater than anything you could ever attempt. Well, wonder no more how they do it because one TikToker has shared the way to achieve the same look in your own bedroom – and you just need one simple ingredient and a spray bottle.

In a video captioned ‘hacks that won’t break the bank’, a woman posting to the @purdyandfigg account showed that spraying your bedsheets with warm water can help to give them that crisp, freshly laundered vibe – even when you’re not away from home.

She said: “Spray warm water on your sheets to de-crease them”, as she can be seen re-using an old spray bottle to keep the cost down too.

The sheets look a lot less creased when she’s finished, and would be perfect if you were having guests over – the sheets look fresh and worthy of a five star.

Another hack in the video is to fold the end of your toilet roll and stamp it with the tap to look as though you’re at a hotel. Again, this is a free way to make your house look extra special if guests are staying with you – there’s no need to break the bank to make your guests feel like they’re visiting somewhere special.

The TikToker said that this hack may not be for every day but can be used ‘when you want to add a bit of luxury to your bathroom’.

Another handy way to make your home feel lovely, either for yourself as a treat, or for guests, is to put essential oils on some tissue paper, and pop it at the bottom of your bin.

It means that your bin won’t get that undeniable ‘bin’ scent when it’s getting fuller.

People praised the hacks for being inexpensive, with some saying they were definitely going to give them a try.

One wrote: “Aw I love stuff like this, I’m definitely doing the essential oils in the bin, and the water thing on the tap who would’ve thought! Made my day!”

Another recommended: “Add Comfort to the warm water.”

“Ooh gonna try some of these out”, one praised.

To make the bin hack even cheaper, someone said: “I just spritz my bin with whatever random cleaning spray I have to hand.”
