Everton vs. Manchester United: Time, TV channel, stream, betting odds for Premier League clash at Goodison Park

Manchester United will aim to respond to their thrashing at the hands of Manchester City when they head to Goodison Park to face Everton.

The Red Devils saw a four-game winning run end in humbling fashion as they lost 6-3 to an Erling Haaland-inspired City, who led 6-1 until the closing stages of the second half.

Erik ten Hag’s side won 3-2 at Omonia in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday and have only a short turnaround to prepare for Frank Lampard’s Everton, having stayed in Cyprus for an extra training session on Friday.

The Toffees, meanwhile, remain unbeaten in all competitions since August and came from behind to beat Southampton in their previous Premier League outing.

Everton vs. Manchester United predicted lineups

In a huge boost for Everton, Lampard confirmed that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could make his first appearance of the season on Sunday having recovered from a knee injury, although he might only be fit enough for the bench.

Defenders Yerry Mina (ankle) and Mason Holgate (knee) are unlikely to be available, although both have resumed team training. Nathan Patterson (ankle), Ben Godfrey (leg fracture) and Andros Townsend (knee) are out.

Everton predicted lineup (4-3-3): Pickford (GK) — Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko — Onana, Gueye, Iwobi — McNeil, Maupay, Gordon

United manager Ten Hag hopes Raphael Varane could be back after missing the win over Omonia with an ankle problem, although he admitted it “will be close”. Harry Maguire (thigh) is still out, as is Aaron Wan-Bissaka (undisclosed) and Donny van de Beek (muscle problem).

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial came off the bench to seal the win for United in Cyprus and are expected to start this weekend. Luke Shaw could also get the nod over Tyrell Malacia, who has been substituted at halftime in each of the Red Devils’ past two games.

Manchester United predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea (GK) — Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw — McTominay, Eriksen — Antony, Fernandes, Rashford — Martial

Everton vs. Manchester United betting odds

United are favourites for the victory here but not by a significant degree. After all, Lampard has made Everton tough to beat in recent weeks, and Calvert-Lewin’s possible return will be a huge boost to a relatively goal-shy attack.

Given United are returning from European exploits and have looked shaky in defence in the past week, backing a score draw may not be a bad idea.
