Maddie Aldridge
In 2007, Jamie Lynn became pregnant at 16 with her first child, daughter Maddie, whom she shares with former fiancé Casey Aldridge. After giving birth in 2008, the teenage Nickelodeon star left her Hollywood career behind to raise Maddie near her family’s home in Kentwood, Louisiana.
Maddie has grown into a stunning teenager who is now taller than her mom. She’s a stellar junior high school student and talented athlete. Jamie Lynn shared a photo standing next to Maddie following a May 4, 2022, honors ceremony at her school.
“Sorry, but I have to do a quick proud parent post for my 4 sport athlete who also kept a 4.0 GPA all year. So proud of her work ethic as an athlete and as a student,” Jamie Lynn wrote in the caption, adding, :”I wore my tall platform Ugg’s, and she was still taller than me.”
Maddie suffered a near-fatal ATV accident in 2017 when riding an off-road vehicle at stepdad Jamie’s parents’ property. She somehow drove into a pond where the ATV became submerged with Maddie strapped into it.
We dove in and we were able to rescue her,” Jamie Lynn revealed in a May 2020 interview on Better Together with Maria Menounos. “When we were finally able to get her out of the water … and the first responders took from me, we thought she was gone. We thought we lost our daughter.” She added, “”I’ve faced my worst fear now. What else can I mess up or do wrong that will be as horrible as that? Nothing. There’s nothing. God gave me the blessing of giving me my daughter back. I lost her and I got her back.”
As of May 2023, Maddie’s Instagram account lists her last name as Watson, seemingly indicating that she finally took her stepfather’s last name.
