Everton are still winless four games into the Premier League season and face what looks like another tough task against Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday.
After being spared by Demarai Gray’s late equaliser against Nottingham Forest, the shoe was on the other foot for Frank Lampard’s men as Vitaly Janelt cancelled out Anthony Gordon’s strike with six minutes to spare at Brentford on Saturday.
There was also weekend disappointment for Leeds, as they lost 1-0 at Brighton but Jesse Marsch’s men have been rampant on their own patch so far.
A battling 2-1 victory over Wolves on the opening weekend preceded a thumping 3-0 dismantling of Chelsea and the home faithful will be eager for more of the same. Their history with Lampard is sure to add a little extra spice to proceedings.
The Sporting News is following the match live from and providing live score updates and commentary.
