A man has been left infuriated by his neighbour’s bizarre parking antics which see her leave her car in the space between their driveway – so he can’t access his space

If you own a home with a driveway, parking your car should be a painless process that doesn’t see you have to leave your car several streets away like some roadside parkers have to do. But one man has expressed his frustration after his neighbour decided to start parking her car between their driveways – which means he now can’t park in the space that he owns.
The man explained that his family owns two cars and should be able to fit both of them on their drive, which has a tree planted at the edge of it to separate it from their neighbours’ drive. However, his neighbour has begun parking her car directly in front of the tree, meaning the man’s family can only fit one car in their driveway at a time.

In pictures posted to the Mildly Infuriating forum on Reddit, the man claimed: “[Is my] neighbour being a**hole or am I overreacting? I just moved into my first townhome, and when we moved in we had to wait almost an hour for her to move her car out of the driveway so we could get boxes into our garage.
“I have a small Honda and a Chevy that has no problem fitting and I don’t cross her side [of the driveway].”
The man explained further in the comments that the grey car parked on the roadside in the pictures is his other vehicle, and said he can usually fit both cars neatly in his driveway without crossing the tree that separates the spaces.
He said: “That dark grey car is my other car. I could fit both my cars [in between] the tree and house. I couldn’t pull it in because of her van [that was] parked halfway in my driveway.”
And he also claimed that the neighbour could want him to move out of the property, as it was previously unoccupied for some time and she had been using the driveway as extra space for her own cars during that time.
He added: “I think she wants us to leave, it’s been unoccupied for 8 months and neighbours tell me she has been using my driveway as her parking spot. We waited an hour to get ahold of her when we moved in because she was in the driveway blocking my garage. Then this was the second night.”
Commenters on the post were baffled by the neighbour’s bizarre parking antics, with many not fully understanding why the woman would decide to park her car in front of a tree.
One person said: “Definitely her being the a**hole. That doesn’t even look like a parking space if there’s a tree right there.”
While another added: “I dealt with a similar situation. Tried to be nice but the guy basically put it back in our faces so we had them towed and he stopped real quick.”
And a third wrote: “I’m so irritated on your behalf. I can’t stand people being this inconsiderate.”
