A woman has shared a video of herself preparing a packed lunch for her three-year-old son but has ended up causing a bit of a stir with the ‘treat’ she chose to include. The mum, who regularly shares “positive parenting” content via TikTok, invited people to follow along as she packed the lunchbox for her child, putting something different in each individual section.
Beginning by adding a cheese stick, two homemade protein balls, and some heart-shaped strawberries to the lunchbox, the creative mother, who blogs about “muddling through parenting” then threw in some “blueberries for a bit of variety and then raisins in the treat section.”

The TikTok user, who goes by the username @muddlethroughmummy, then used a star-shaped cookie cutter to remove the middle of a cucumber slice, placing a star-shaped carrot inside the gap.
Addressing her followers, she said: “Yes this is a little bit extra but I’m just checking these are the same size because I’m going to be using these cookie cutters I got on Amazon to make these – I don’t know what you call them- but they look cool!
“Cookie cutters are such a simple way to make lunch boxes more interesting and this heart shape is the perfect size for his strawberry jam sandwich.”

The post has been liked more than 58.1K times and counting, with many loving the quirky touches to the very pretty-looking lunch. However, a number of people have been left divided as to whether or not raisins could ever really be counted as a ‘treat’.
One person argued that “strawberries are a better treat than raisins”, while another stated they would “be sad if a raisin was my treat.”
Although not everybody was convinced, a number of followers defended the raisins, with one person remarking: “Why are people complaining about the raisins? We had them as snacks all the time.”
Another approved: “People asking how raisins are a treat but real ones know In primary we would be gassed to get raisins from break or lunchtime tuck shop”.
