NHL on TNT games tonight: Capitals vs. Flyers headline Wednesday night national tv doubleheader

There’s a lot for hockey fans to be thankful for this season. But before the NHL takes the day off for Thanksgiving, there is an action-packed slate of games on Wednesday, headlined by two contests on TNT.

The Wednesday night doubleheader on TNT features the Capitals vs. Flyers up first on the network, with the Golden Knights taking on the Senators later in the evening.

Washington and Philadelphia meet for the first time this season. The two Metro Division rivals currently sit in the bottom half of the division. The Flyers are 7-8-4 with 18 points this season, while the Capitals are 7-10-3 and have 17 points.

Someone’s losing streak will be snapped in the nation’s capital. The Flyers have dropped seven consecutive contests, while the Capitals are currently on a four-game skid.

In the later game, it is two teams currently on opposite ends of the league standings. The Golden Knights are 14-4-1, sitting with the best record in the Western Conference, while the Senators are 6-10-1 and own the worst record in the East.

It will be the regular season’s final meeting between the two clubs. Vegas previously defeated Ottawa 5-4 on Nov. 3.
