According to the data gathered by Hostinger(Opens in a new window), the most visited website is Wikipedia, with 43 different countries visiting the online encyclopedia more than any other place on the web. Some of the countries that frequent Wikipedia include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, India, Italy, Pakistan, Peru, Sweden, Uganda, and Ukraine.
The next most popular website globally is Twitter, with 10 different countries visiting the social media site more than any other online destination. Countries located in Africa and the Middle East seemed to like it the most, with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Yemen, and Zambia making up half of those who prefer it the most.
If you’re wondering where the United States ranks in all this, Amazon is our website of choice. Only four countries ranked Amazon the highest; Burundi, Guinea, and Malawi were the other three. Canada prefers Reddit, along with New Zealand and Philippines.
