Planning your holiday travel? Following a North American debut this spring(Opens in a new window), Uber Travel is rolling out to more than 10,000 cities, including major municipalities in the US and Canada.
Global users can now pre-book rides for every leg of their journey, each of which earns 10% back in Uber Cash to spend on future travels or food delivery orders. Connect your email account (Google, Outlook, Hotmail) and Uber Travel will automatically organize hotels, flights, and restaurant reservations.
Getting a large group together? The company is expanding its Uber Charter service to more than 20 cities, allowing travlers to book a party bus, passenger van, or coach bus directly via the mobile app or website.
The news is part of spate of holiday-centric announcements(Opens in a new window) from the ride-share service today. That includes the ability to gift orders via the Uber Eats app from restaurants and merchants in more than 10,000 cities. “Make any order a gift via Uber Eats and we’ll send a custom message and tracking info right to the recipient’s phone,” Uber says. Not sure what they want? Send a digital Uber gift card, which can now be scheduled to arrive at a specific time.
Uber also tipped custom orders—”for the times when that chocolate challah in the gold package is proving elusive. We’ll find it so you can get back to celebrating.”

And for those with long gift lists, Uber says it “recently launched features to send multiple packages at once, to different destinations, and verify package arrival with proof of delivery,” in select cities.
